Summer Events on Lake Maggiore

Summer on Lake Maggiore means unmissable events, culture, and fun for all ages. Here is an overview of the main events that will enliven the shores of the lake in the coming weeks.

Baveno d’Incanto
From July 15th to August 18th, Baveno will transform into an oasis of light, colors, and emotions thanks to the extraordinary “Baveno d’Incanto” initiative. The picturesque shores of Lake Maggiore will become the stage for an unprecedented show, promising to enchant and amaze residents and visitors. Designed and installed by a leading Italian company in the sector, majestic light fountains, extending up to 30 meters, will dance on the water mirror in front of the lakeside, creating a fairytale atmosphere that will transform the night landscape into a magical visual symphony. Every evening, at 9:30 PM, 10:00 PM, and 10:30 PM, the lake will be dressed in lights, colors, and music, offering a unique sensory experience.

Stresa Festival
A “sonorous archipelago” made of many islands and many musics that meet and dialogue with each other. This is the idea guiding the Stresa Festival, as outlined by Mario Brunello, Artistic Director of the Festival since 2021. The festival will also take place this year in two periods: from July 16th to 28th, focusing on the piano between jazz and border music, and from August 17th to September 6th, with a journey from ancient to contemporary music.
Two events are scheduled on the Borromean Islands:

-Isola Madre will host an evening on August 27th from 8:30 PM; it will be a collection of music from different eras and genres, interpreted by the special formation of a singer and four cellists.
-Isola Bella awaits you on Sunday, August 25th at 10:30 AM at Ristorante Delfino for a meeting with musician Yulianna Avdeeva.

Motty on the Moon
On August 9th, the “Motty on the Moon” moonlight run will take place in the scenic Parco del Mottarone. Participants can choose between two options: the 10-kilometer race or the non-competitive 5-kilometer run. It will be a special occasion to spend the evening indulging in your passion for running, in a refreshing forest setting, before chasing shooting stars with your eyes. For the more trained participants, it is possible to participate in the 10-kilometer race by registering until spots are filled on the website wedosport.net Finally, to end the evening by refueling with tasty dishes, the Bar Stazione offers delicious sandwiches, salads, a mixed meat grill menu, French fries, and fresh drinks.
